Our help and support are urgently needed for Emily from Baltimore. The 10-year-old girl is living with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and dyskinetic tetraplegia. Emily was born prematurely at 26 weeks of pregnancy, weighing only 970 grams. She has a level 5 hearing impairment. Those who have met Emily can confidently say that she embodies positivity. She has never been discouraged, and even on the darkest days, she manages to uplift those around her. Meeting Emily can turn even the gloomiest day into a sunlit room. Emily moves around with a walker, which is also her greatest achievement earned through hard work in rehabilitation sessions. Emily's zest for life and positivity give her additional strength and motivation to move forward and reach new heights. Thanks to her cochlear implant, she hears very well and speaks a lot.
Specialists recommend that Emily undergo at least three intensive rehabilitation courses a year. One three-week rehabilitation course costs $3,680, totaling $11,040, of which $3,746 is already available from donations but has not yet been used. Therefore, we are asking donors for $7,294.
Emily's family does everything they can to support their daughter, but unfortunately, they do not have the financial means to cover the recommended rehabilitation, and they are asking for our support.
